Privacy

We need your address to find your contacts. We don't need to keep it, so we don't.

Your address and searches

  • What you type goes to our server, which asks OneMap (the government's map service) for matching addresses. We don't keep it.
  • Your address never appears in the web address bar. Our records only show that someone searched, never what they searched for.
  • The address you pick stays in this browser tab until you close it, so refreshing the page doesn't lose your place.

Your location

We only ask for your location when you press "Use my location". We send it once, through our server, to OneMap to find buildings near you. We don't keep it or write it down. If you say no, you can still search by typing.

Saved addresses

If you press "Save", the address is kept on this phone or computer only. We never get a copy. To remove it, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Sharing

If you share a link with your address, the postal code goes into the link. We ask you first, and you can share without the address instead. Shared pages don't show up on Google or other search engines.

Telling us something is wrong

The form asks what's wrong, not who you are. Please don't include personal details. Only the people who check reports can see them.

Tracking and cookies

We don't use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. To stop people overloading the site, we briefly keep a scrambled version of your network address in memory, never the address itself. The people who check reports use a sign-in cookie.

The map and links

The map pictures come from OneMap. Directions only open Google Maps when you tap them. Links to official websites take you to those sites, which have their own privacy rules.
